An axe throwing coach is like your gym trainer, only cooler and with more axes. These skilled folks ensure that you’re throwing like a pro, and more importantly, doing so safely. At Spymaker Axe, our coaches don’t just have a knack for axes, they’re also aceS at making you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to hit those bullseyes in no time
While it’s not required, if you feel your Axe Throwing coach provided exceptional service, a tip is a wonderful way to show your appreciation. The amount is entirely up to you and what you’re comfortable with. Please feel free to ask our staff if you have any questions about our tipping policy.

The axe-perience at Spymaker Axe is as seamless as it gets. First things first, you’ll check in with our friendly staff. We do need you to sign a waiver because as much as we’d like to think we’re invincible, we need to ensure everyone’s safety.
Once that’s done, one of our axe-pert coaches will guide you through a safety briefing. Don’t worry, it’s not as scary as it sounds. We just want you to be aware of how to handle your axe responsibly.
Post the safety spiel, our coach will take you through the ins and outs of axe throwing. They’ll demonstrate up to 3 types of throws – each one an opportunity to impress your friends and maybe start some friendly competition. Our coaches are incredibly patient and will ensure that you’re comfortable with your throw before setting you loose on the target.

At Spymaker Axe, we’ve taken several safety measures to ensure your axe-perience is as safe as it is thrilling:
Expert Coaching: Before you throw your first axe, you’ll be trained by one of our expert coaches. They’ll teach you the proper throwing technique to ensure you’re handling and throwing the axes safely.
Guided Supervision: Our coaches don’t just train you and leave you to your own devices. They stay with you throughout your session, providing guidance, enforcing safety rules, and making sure you’re having a great time.
Strict Lane Protocol: Safety is paramount in our throwing lanes. No axe is allowed to leave the lane. This not only prevents accidents but also maintains an organized and controlled environment for everyone to enjoy.
Safety Briefing: Before your session, you’ll receive a comprehensive safety briefing to understand the rules, the do’s and don’ts, and what to expect when you’re throwing. Knowledge is power, and in this case, it’s the power to have fun safely.

Punctuality is crucial to ensure the best experience at Spymaker Axe Throwing, as our lanes are time-sensitive and run according to a tight schedule. If a group is more than 10 minutes late, we may have to reschedule your experience based on the bookings for the rest of the day. To avoid any inconvenience, we recommend that guests arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled experience. This allows for any necessary pre-game preparations and ensures you get the full benefit of your booked time slot.
At Spymaker AXE THROWING, we operate under a strict no-refund policy due to the nature of our time-sensitive events. However, we understand that plans can change, and we are happy to work with your group to reschedule or postpone your reservation as long as you notify us at least 24 hours prior to your booking. If you reach out to us less than 24 hours before your reservation or miss your reservation, you might forfeit your deposit, and you may be subject to additional charges based on the number of guests in your reservation. The closer it is to the scheduled time, the harder it is for us to fill the slot with another group, so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Yes, at Spymaker Axe we do have an age limit for safety reasons. Axe throwing is open to anyone aged 10 and above. If you’re aged between 10 to 17, you need to have a guardian or responsible adult with you at all times while you’re in the throwing lane.
Remember, age is just a number, but safety is key. Our expert coaches will make sure everyone, regardless of age, has a fun and safe axe-perience. So whether you’re 10 or 100, come join us and let’s hit some bullseyes!
Our AXE THROWING lanes can accommodate different group sizes ranging for 2-64.
Think comfort and safety when dressing for axe throwing. Here’s what we recommend:
Closed-Toe Shoes: This is a must. Safety first, always! You need to protect those toes in case an axe drops. Plus, you’ll be standing and moving around, so comfortable footwear is a must.
Comfortable Clothing: Wear something that allows you to move freely. Remember, throwing an axe involves a full range of motion, so restrictive clothing could impact your throwing prowess.
Avoid Loose Accessories: Dangling necklaces, bracelets, and other loose accessories might get in the way of your throw. It’s best to keep the bling to a minimum.

Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to schedule outside of our normal business hours to accommodate your corporate group. To reserve lanes outside of normal hours, a minimum of 10 paid guests is required. Please note that pricing for these bookings may vary slightly, as they are considered premium services. For more details and specific pricing, please refer to our corporate booking page.
For corporate bookings, we require a base rate of 50% of the total booking amount. This base rate helps secure your reservation and ensures that we can provide the appropriate staffing and resources for your group. On arrival all guests will be 50% of our pricing for each person up to your reservation amount. If you exceed the reservation amount, each additional guest is full price.
Generally, discounts may not be applicable to corporate bookings scheduled outside of our normal business hours. These bookings are considered premium services and have different pricing and benefits. However, feel free to reach out to us for further information and specific inquiries regarding discounts.
Yes, you can! We have two available time slots every weekday (excluding Mondays) that you can self-book. However, these slots block out 10 days in advance, but don’t worry if you need an event sooner, or the published times do not work for you, simply let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate different hours, including Mondays.
We kindly require that the final head count for your corporate booking be provided 48 hours before your reservation. This allows us to ensure proper staffing and preparations for your group.
If your number of participants differs from your final count, here’s what will happen:
Increase in number by 10 or less: If your final count increases by 10 or fewer participants, it is generally not a problem. Spymaker will accommodate the additional guests without any issues.
Decrease in number: Once your final head count is confirmed, it cannot be reduced. If you have fewer guests than initially confirmed, Spymaker will provide you with a gift card for half the amount of the missing guests. For example, if you confirmed 50 guests but only 40 show up, you would receive a gift card for 5 guests (half of the missing 10 guests).
Payment for final head count adjustments: All final head count adjustments, whether it’s an increase or decrease, will be required to be paid upon arrival. Spymaker will adjust the billing based on the final count provided.
Remember, it’s important to provide the final head count 48 hours before your reservation with Spymaker to ensure proper staffing and preparations for your group.
DEPOSIT, GIFT CERTIFICATES AND DISCOUNTS
Yes, we do. For regular bookings, we require a deposit equivalent to one person’s admission. For corporate bookings, we require a 1 person deposit. The deposit helps secure your reservation and ensures that we can provide you with the best possible experience. Please note parties larger than 15 will require 50% base price.

The 6% fee is a tax and booking fee that helps cover various expenses related to creating and managing your booking. It includes taxes, if applicable, as well as fees associated with the administrative tasks involved in handling bookings. This can include expenses like software costs, credit card processing fees, and other operational expenses. The fee ensures that we can continue to provide a seamless and efficient booking experience for our guests.
